Yunus Energy Limited was incorporated as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), with a corporate structure of a public unlisted company, in the year 2011, to exclusively develop a 50 MW Wind Power Project in Deh Kohistan, Jhimphir, District Thatta.
The project is equipped with state-of-the-art European technology. Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs)
have been manufactured by Nordex Energy Germany, one of the top WTG manufacturers from Europe;
electrical balance of plants has been supplied by Alstom France, a leading grid solution provider;
whereas construction activities have been carried out by Descon Engineering Limited, the leading
construction, and engineering company of Pakistan. It is a clean energy project, harnessing renewable
wind resources for the generation of electric power without any carbon emissions. The project is
supplying electricity to the national grid regularly post commencing commercial operations in
September 2016.
